With views of the Ochil Hills to the North, this secluded garden site seeks to make its surroundings part of the architecture. Situated where an old out building once stood, this compact office/studio space will engage with it's immediate garden surroundings bringing the essence of the outdoors to the threshold, whilst also framing key views of the Ochil Hills beyond.

The initial sketch design locates the garden room equally between the house and the north boundary, thereby creating two individual external spaces. The orientation of the studio is aligned west to give the occupants views of their garden, whilst the newly formed external spaces are outlined by a decked area - aligned perpendicular to the studio and mimicking the stepped footprint of the house.
